Hi all Collingwood Little Athletes and Families,
We trust you are all staying safe. Unfortunately the COVID-19 situation has prevented us from coming together for our Awards Night to celebrate the 2019/20 track and field season – but at least we finished!
So with less fanfare but still great pride, please refer to our link for a full list of summer season award winners by category, gender and age group: https://clac10.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/CLAC-AWARDS-2019-20.pdf
Congratulations to all athletes for participating and doing their best over the course of the season. In particular, congratulations to our centre-wide award winners:
- Champion Girl U9 – U12 Zara Bloom
- Champion Boy U9 – U12 Stanley Moore
- Best First Year Girl U8 – U12 Evangeline Kondys
- Best First Year Boy U8 – U12 Charlie Hallett
- Most Improved Girl U8 – U16 Astrid Curry
- Most Improved Boy U8 – U16 Edward Pearce
For those families who RSVP’d to our Awards Night or indicated that they would collect trophies afterwards, we can confirm that trophies have been ordered and delivered. We considered holding a trophy collection morning to get them to the kids asap, but the increased COVID-19 restrictions have precluded this. We will look to hold several collection mornings in the lead up to next season – hopefully in August/September.
Thanks to the many parents who volunteered to make it happen each week, to our coaches and to our sponsors: Coles, Nelson Alexander, Clifton Hill / North Fitzroy Community Bank, Grill’d and Fairfield Podiatry.
While the cross-country season has been postponed until at least 1st July, we hope to be back in operation in time for the next summer season. There should be a fair amount of pent up energy to burn off at the track by then!
Kind regards CLAC Committee
