Following the announcement by the State government where restrictions were eased for community sport, LA Vic has now updated its Covid protocols and procedures. This means that CLAC is now able to increase the number of athletes in each group and session.
Therefore, starting from the next competition (meet number 3) on Saturday 5 December, we will be moving back to one session for all athletes. We will continue to have small groups of athletes together and continue our rotation across 4 events for the U9+ athletes, with 20 minutes at each event. U6 – U8 athletes will continue to do the on-track program plus a sprint and field event each week.
The format for the Saturday competition sessions will now be:
Gates Open: 8.00am
Start time: 8.40am (for the first event then athletes rotate events every 20 minutes)
Finish time: 10.00am
So that CLAC can comply with City of Yarra & LA Vic attendance tracking requirements, we will still set up events in TeamApp and you will need to RSVP each week to confirm you are attending. There will be no limit on the number of athletes at the session and you need to RSVP by 5.00pm Thursday prior to the meet. This will enable us to plan for the competition session & allocate athletes into the appropriate age group. If you don’t RSVP, your child may be allocated to a group with athletes of a different age.
We will set up TeamApp events for competition meet #3 and #4 today (Sunday).
Session A: U6-U8 athletes
Session B: U9+ athletes
We will send out communications later in the week with the track and field events for meet #3 and the volunteer link.

I look forward to seeing you all next Saturday.
